Growing in spiritual development doesn't happen overnight. It is a process of opening ourselves up to God.

For followers of Jesus Christ, the goal is to become more like Christ in our daily lives. We want to develop the "marks" that identify us as his followers:
  • Love of God and neighbor (Luke 10:27)
  • Fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23)
Though this change can be seen by others, it is hard to measure the change in ourselves.

Over the centuries, Christians have participated in certain practices that help them grow deeper in faith. At different times and places various practices have been emphasized. In considering what practices we consider most helpful, we have chosen to highlight seven: Prayer, Outreach, Worship, Evangelizing, Relationship, Use of gifts, and Scripture. We believe as a person grows in these practices, he/she will grow in the marks of a disciple.

On this web site you will find a brief survey to help you assess where you are in these practices. After taking the survey we encourage you to click on the various practices listed on the right to find suggestions and resources to help you grow as a follower of Jesus Christ.
